Grumpy!

In a grump today, chained to the desk doing farm accounts. But, at least I have these sweethearts to keep me company, the first Lily of the Valley I have ever grown.

And then there's this little pile of stitcheries waiting patiently for me to make into quilt blocks, when the paperwork is done.

Things could be worse - I could be at Cadet Camp with my daughter hiking in the cold & the rain! Get some perspective Bloom!

  2. Sorry you are feeling grumpy today. Your Lily of the Valley are gorgeous, and I can't wait to see your quilt. Hiking in the cold and rain does not appeal at all, glad you are warm and dry.

  8. I adore the lily of the valley and used to grow it. I found clumps of them growing under a shed so dug them out and transplanted them. I hope your get to the stitching part of your day soon.

  9. Hi - thanks for the beautiful lily of the valley photo! I used to love looking at pictures of these when I was growing up (I think it may be my birth month flower??) but have never tried growing them - perhaps I might just do that now! And love your little stitchery too - can you please tell me what the stone-coloured fabric is you are using? Is it homespun or linen?
    Many thanks, Danielle

  12. I think you should out-source the paperwork so you can stitch more :) Remember what Anne of Green Gables says "Tomorrow is a new day, fresh - with no mistakes in it".

  16. Hi, Just wondering if you iron your stitcheries after they are stitched. I use a hoop while stitching and find it goes out of shape, then when I try to iron it it goes all lumpy if you know what I mean. Yours look so neat though i'd ask.
