I am expecting visitors for the weekend & tomorrow I am playing parent-helper on a school excursion to the zoo. So I am SUPPOSED to be cleaning the house today. But as so often happens, I am avoiding the mundane & have become distracted by blooms! I came across this treasure at the Michael Miller site.
I LOVE this quilt! It is made from a new Michael Miller range called 'Jewel Tones'. You may remember the gorgeous 'Birds of Norway' print that Janelle sent me recently?
Kathy Miller at Making It Fun explains in this post, that the colours used in 'Birds of Norway' worked so well, that it inspired the whole new 'Jewel Tone' range.
These fabric manufacturers are killing me! Can't they just release some dead ugly fabrics for a while & give my addiction a break?!
Everybody needs a little inspiration! Enjoy your visitors Ros. Hope you enjoyed the weekend - and also got your weeds sprayed! Take care. Leanne.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt & fabric....very inspiring! Have fun with your visitors!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is so funky .... straight from the 70s don't you think?? Don't know what I'd do with it but I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're right ... a few ugly fabrics would definitely give my wallet a break too LOL!
Hugs,
Joy :o)
Trouble is the fabric companies know what we like - everything, lol
ReplyDeleteThis is a very funky quilt and the fabrics are fun.
Yeah I say that too, it's not our fault all these gorgeous designs are being thrust in our faces LOL
ReplyDeleteI completely understand your frustration!! There are SO many new, awesome fabrics and patterns, I can no longer honestly say WHAT is my favorite any longer.
ReplyDelete*LOL* Try to write to them and ask them to stop to manufacture those fabrics.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and love it.
ReplyDeletecheers
Christine
ps. I will be back

ReplyDeleteGorgeous and fun fabric!
ReplyDeleteYou had me laughing when I read the bit about "can't they just release some dead ugly fabrics for awhile and give my addiction a break?" Oh, I feel your pain!
