I am inspired by the many beautiful coin quilts that are appearing around blogland, and am sorely tempted to make one!
1. Coin Quilt, 2. stacked coins baby quilt, 3. The Back of Zig Zag Quilt, 4. ava coin quilt
If you are tempted too, Orangeflower Sketchbook is organising a Coin Quilt Piece-a-long so that you can share your progress. The group's Flickr page is here. But of course, I will not be swayed from my resolution to finish some of the quilts I've started ... I will not be swayed ... or even slightly tempted to start something new, fresh & beautiful ... I will not ... will I?!!
Of course you will tempted, and maybe giving in won't be much a terrible thing.
ReplyDeleteJust do it, It's a quick and easy one, you could us scraps and that would be a good thing! You know you want to, LOL
ReplyDeleteyep - I too have been tempted by the coin quilts. I just love white with all the fresh bright colours.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably easier to convince yourself that it's a good idea if you design one to specifically use up your scraps! Then it just 'stash busting'!
It is so very tempting, that I myself have just joined! Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteLove the Coin Quilts...can you tell me why they are called Coin Quilts please?? Cathy
ReplyDeletec'mon c'mon c'mon - I'm definitely tempted. I've even begun drawing up a plan.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts, I too am tempted might have to check it out. As if I don't have enough to finish and move as well. But they are so so pretty and very very tempting/
ReplyDelete*LOL* What´s life without beginning something new and exciting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links. I ordered some fabrics this morning to make a small one for my dining room wall.I've got to wait until the end of march though as my brother is bringing them back from America for me.
ReplyDeleteI really want to try out this pattern! It's the perfect excuse to use up my scraps... and it looks fairly easy. It's going to be my 1st quilt! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so tempted to jump into the coin quilts... and need to finish other stuff too. It's so hard, especially when you taunt me with that beautiful arrangement of photos you have!
ReplyDeleteA little hello from Switzerland. By accident I arrived at your blog showing all your beautiful work you've done. Though I am just a beginner with patching and quilting, I know these feelings of temptation. I sometimes am longing for rainy weather, so my garden can wait and I have time for my "fabrics" ;-) ! There are so many UFOs to be finished :-) !
