    I LOVE these journals! The work is beautiful and I can't wait to try one.
    I have a question though: what type of linen do you use? I always think of linen as thin and wrinkly and not washable. Can you give me some suggestions?

    OK - I'm new to sewing and really love this. I already made my fabric strip but my journal is more square so I need my rectangle to be 28.5x8.5...in that case, what size would I cut the two separate pieces of linen? I'm so confused.

When I was first reading through it I wasn't sure I'd be able to figure it out but as I went step by step things worked out JUST perfectly....well, if I'd measured my notebook correctly from the beginning.     Thank you very much for the nice tutorial. As i am using up fabric scrap, this was very welcome! Actually, I was too stupid to get the point about the lining. I see that you didn't cut it the same size as the rest. Mine is now a bit thick, as you can see on my blog. Due to the fabric I used it has a real alpine touch, don't you think? Once again thank you, love your blog!!

    I saw this tutorial over at Tip Junkie. You have some really great projects. I am your newest follower. I was never really taught how to sew, but I like doing sewing projects and embroidery. They just sometimes take me a little extra time. Tutorials like yours make it a lot easier to figure things out. :)

    Just tried making one and i'm confused about the lining. When I did mine, the edges were ragged. Can you be more specific? Do I sew the lining inside out and turn? I can't believe I can't figure this out. I'm so embarassed...

    Very beautiful! I'm gonna try it soon (as soon as I will repair my sewing machine....). So far I have only done little coin purses, I love them but I want to improve and do something else...more difficult!
