Mum is visiting, which meant our inevitable visit to Anni Downs' lovely The Home Patch store in Bathurst today. We boldly declared as we walked through the front door that 'we really didn't need anything today'. An hour and a half later we exited sheepishly, with a brown paper bag full of lovelies. We now have a busy weekend of sewing ahead of us!
We are hoping to transform
a stunning piece of Echino linen ...
... plus a very cool handbag frame ...
... into something beautiful!

I love the fabric and have fun with you mum. I have spent quite a bit of time with my mom lately, as she's been helping me out since my back surgery.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is cool too - it's French General Rouenniers fabric I have coveted and finaly own some yardage - and the pin cushions in my banner pic are from that fabric!
Have a great visit with your mum!
Hope you have a fabulous time! You sure got some lovely goodies- I think I have a bagframe like that somewhere....
ReplyDeleteOne bottle shouldn't hinder you too much...right!! LOL the material is lovely and no matter how much (or little) you get accomplished, I hope you and Mum have a great time!!
ReplyDeleteThat some like a wonderful time...nothing like girly time!
ReplyDeleteCheers Nic
ha ha...would love to be a fly on the wall....sounds like fun. H&P is just one of those places where you always NEED something :) Looking forward to seeing the results.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great time with all of that - sounds marvellous!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun weekend is planned! Love the echino fabric - can't wait to see the results.
ReplyDeleteso far I can't get past the Jacob's Creek :) but I love the bag, the fabric and you're right that bag handle does look divine!
ReplyDeleteI just got home from grabbing my linen flavoured homespun (couldn't afford the 'real thing') and my pellon for my bloom projects. My Ruby charm packs, the ribbon from The Home Patch! and the machine is waiting...
