I googled 'improvise' to see if I could find a clever quote & came up with this from Sylvia Plath, American poet & novelist:
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
So here I am, writing about not very much, improvising just a little, & fighting the self-doubt! Wishing you a very creative weekend, Bloom.
Your flowers will be fantastic after your 'improvisation tonic' and i know as I am partaking right now and therefore can imagine them!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and enjoy the stitching...
I completely agree with Sylvia Plath.Have a good week-end!
ReplyDeleteLooks great with the varigated thread. Why not stitch the flowers as buttonhole wheels.
ReplyDeleteSelf doubt is a killer for sure - I am writing this after one improvisation tonic myself (note to self : check spelling)
ReplyDeleteOh...a tonic..how nice...Well Bloom, I just love Sylvia's quote...and I have just finished May Britt's stitchery and tomorrow I am going to have a bash at the bag...no self doubt...I also improvised with the button flowers but the imagination well maybe it was left on the shelf...xx
ReplyDeletePlease don´t doubt your self, let the creativity grow, just improvise :)
ReplyDeleteLove the peek at your stitchery. Fantastic idea to use variegated floss.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote! So very true...
Love the stitchery! Variegated floss is a a good idea to go along with the fabrics I have for the projects.I also want to make May Britt's bag, it so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe quote you found is a very good one, just have to write it down!
