10 things I hate about me

No, that would be an horrible way to start the week - I couldn't do it to you! But one thing about me that I'm frustrated about at the moment is my apparent inability to get projects finished. I get bored with projects quickly, & find myself constantly on the look out for something new to tackle. The fallout is a huge pile of half-finished ideas, languishing in the corner waiting for my attention.
Motivated by my gorgeous friend Peg, the queen of finish-it-up, I am doing some well deserved 'butt-kicking' & declaring war on the huge pile in the corner.
The stitched panel for this baby sampler has been complete for 'some time' (way too long). I have finally made it up into the tiny cushion it was always meant to be, and it is winging its way to its sweet recipient.
Couldn't resist matching polka dots, and white bows at the back.
Did I get the year wrong on the stitchery? Nope, true confessions - it's 12 months late! Perhaps little Macey can use it as a dolly pillow?!

  12. Oh, this turned out so lovely! Great that you finished it. I also start so many projects and somehow it takes so long to finish them. So this year I have the goal to finish one UFO per month. And it feels so good, when the project is finally finished, doesn't it?
Wish you much fun in finishing your projects time by time.

  15. This is so cute! I have the exact opposite problem - I can't start a new project until everything is finished. And there are so many projects I want to do. Please keep showing you finished WIP. I also love your garden photos, as we are still covered with snow here.

  16. I know how you feel Ros, I tend to stitch up a storm but turning it into something else is my problem.
I should just have a sewing day to complete things.
You could have saved it for her

  28. I love that little stitchery and what a cute way to make it into something useful. So what pattern is it? I know a certain little girl (my niece) named Lily who might like to get a pillow like that too! Cute! Way to go working on those UFO's.

  30. It's really lovely! I love how you've made the cushion. Actually, I'd like to ask you a favour... I've almost finished a piece of stitchery for my best friend and want to make it into a cushion - did you use a pattern for this or do you have any tips for a beginner? I love your cushion and it would be the perfect design.
