Sweet Menagerie

'Sweet Menagerie' nine-patch quilt
The second of my tutorials, 'Sweet Menagerie' is now up on Moda Bake Shop. Thank you to each and everyone who sent such encouraging messages about my last quilt. I was so excited!

This quilt is made from Tula Pink's cute new line called 'Hushabye'.
I couldn't resist another pieced backing! And Belinda Betts of Eucalypt Ridge Quilting worked her magic with her beautiful quilting. The quilting design is called Retro Feathers by Anne Bright.

Do let me know if you use my tutorial. I would love to see your interpretation. Enjoy! Bloom x

  7. Oh I really really love this quilt. So lovely and soft and fresh. It looks so effective. I'm thinking my Heather Bailey 'FreshCut' 1/4s would suit this pattern perfectly. Off to the bakeshop to get this pattern. You are so clever and thanks for designing it and sharing.

  15. I caught a peek at this one over at the Moda Bake Shop this morning. I loved it. I'm a big quilt person (at least lap size) and find myself adding some size to the projects I like at the Bake Shop, so I love that you have been sharing larger projects with us. Thanks!!

  34. Hey, don't worry at all about the whole post mix-up. Honestly it could have been my fault as well. If it's like Tuesday and something is going to be posted on Wednesday it just says scheduled, it doesn't give a date or anything (just figured that out) that sorta confused me. Either way, it's not a big deal at all. Your quilt is absolutely beautiful, it's definitely one of my favorite Moda projects.

  37. I LOVE the quilt and have a question. I have the fabric (Aviary by 3 Sisters) and am ready to go! I'm wondering if the 9-patch blocks can be made using the strip method, rather than cutting each individual square?

    Thanks!
